Only hard work and respect make it possible to exploit this famous Italian grape which – like King Manfredi – is a little unpolished and introverted but with a big heart. A noble wine that everyone loves and often has surprises in store. The 2015 season was memorable for the above-average temperatures and scant summer rainfall. The volcanic soils typical of Vulture are able to retain humidity and this led to excellent vine growth and development. The dry weather during harvest gave the clusters more time to ripen and enhanced the wine’s structure and complexity.
